We have great news for anyone thinking about importing a car from the USA. Until now, the 0% customs rate was mainly used for historic vehicles. Provided the EU legal conditions are met, it can now also apply to new and nearly new cars imported from the USA.
The key requirement is proving the vehicle's origin with the relevant documents. We handle customs clearance in Germany, where this procedure has long been possible, even though it is not yet standard practice in the Czech Republic.
What does this mean for our customers?
We have been importing historic vehicles with the 0% customs rate for more than 14 years. We now apply the same principle to new and nearly new American cars, provided they meet all the requirements of current EU legislation.
This advantage will also be reflected in the range of new Dodge and RAM vehicles from our partner importer, KW Auto. As a result, we can offer our customers even better terms on selected American cars.
